Home Invasions

In the last week there has been a couple home invasion robberies in San Antonio.  Here are some things that can be done to prevent a robbery.

Most home invasion robberies aren’t random.  The victim has been chosen for what the robber can get.  If you keep large amounts of cash, jewelry, or guns (the three things robbers want the most) don’t advertise it. 

Limit the amount of traffic inside your house.  When people are in your home limit their access to places where jewelry boxes and/or safes aren’t visible.

Finally, update your door locks and front door if necessary.  Then, most importantly, use the door and door locks.
